strawberry season is among us. all my local farmers gots the best berries for sale at their roadside stands, and i am pleased. what pairs better with scrumptious strawburries than a simple pound cake & homemade whipped cream? i tried Martha’s recipe for vanilla pound cake. i made a mistake in using the wrong size loaf pan, so my cake came out a little short…but it wasn’t short on taste!
this week i also plan on making the same strawberry pie i made last year…total bliss. my friend, jenny, has a fantastic strawberry rhubarb coffee cake recipe…perhaps i’ll give that a whirl too. on the other end of the spectrum, i also love strawberry & spinach salad. what are your favorite ways to use strawberries? ***
